Hi,
My name is Evi Horowitz and I am a tour guide in Israel for English, Italian and Hebrew speaking tourists, licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, after graduating from the “Israeli School of Tourism”.
I was born in Trieste, Italy, in 1959, and came to live in Israel at the age of 12. First I lived in Jerusalem and subsequently I moved to Tel Aviv, where I live to this date.
Since finishing my military service I have worked in the tourism industry, first in management positions in various hotels, then in the El Al Israel Airlines offices, afterwards as a tour operator for outgoing tourism, and since 2010 as an interpreter-guide for groups from Italy visiting Israel and as a licensed tour guide. In 2015 I took a specialization course in Christianity at the 'Yad Ben-Zvi' Institute.
I have two grown-up children, a daughter and a son, and two gorgeous granddaughters, with whom I adore playing and spending time with. Their pictures always fill the phone album in my smartphone.
I attend courses covering a wide range of subjects, such as history, the Bible (Tanach), scientific innovations (new brain research, physics, etc), philosophy, etc.
In my very limited free time, I also volunteer with the Tel Aviv Traffic Police, since I believe that intensified police presence on roads is an effective way of prevent accidents, and yes, I wear police uniform and hand out driving fines to offenders.
I attend yoga classes, and very much enjoy scuba diving, although I don’t manage to do it that often, due to lack of time. I have dived in various places all over the world, including the Maldives, the Caribbean islands, the Mexican gulf, the Galapagos, but mostly I love diving in the Red Sea, at the coral reef or with the dolphins, at the “Eilat Dolphin Reef”.
